Ginza and Nearby Places in Tokyo
Ginza is one of the most luxurious shopping districts in the world. It’s like Fifth Avenue in NYC and Avenue des Champs-Elysees in Paris. There are lots of luxury brand shops like Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Dunhill.
While standing in the middle of the road, I could clearly see the sun shine from the South side.
As I looked back on the opposite direction, I took a photo again and saw many people enjoying their walk on the road.
The main street in Ginza is turned into a pedestrian area which is closed to vehicles every Saturday and Sunday, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Most of these European-Style buildings disappeared, There are still some older buildings that remained, most famously the Wako buildings with the Hattori Clock Tower at the 4th intersection in Ginza. The building and clock tower were originally built by Kintaro Hattori the founder of SEIKO in1932.
Outemachi is known as the center of Japanese journalism, housing the main offices of three of the five newspapers as well as being a key financial center and headquarters for large Japanese corporations.
Buildings in Outemachi are shining like gold similar to Manhattan.
Tokyo Staton is made of bricks and built in 1914. However it was destroyed by US army in 1945, during the WW2. It was rebuilt in 1947. Nowadays, Tokyo station is one of the famous sightseeing places in Tokyo.
When the Tokyo station was lit up, it looked fantastic so I took a photo of it.
