Boso No Mura successfully restored the 200-year old town
Where was I? What era was this? This town is a town called BOSO-NO-MURA, Its stores,Samurai house and farmers of the Edo period are restored in the present time. It is close to Narita Airport. Edo era is the period between 1603 and 1868.
This shopping street has a diner, cloth shop, drug store, liquor shop and so on. Each shop can have various traditional experiences such as dyeing and cooking.
The houses are simple and ecofriendly houses modeled after the traditional house of a middle class samurai.There are also Cherry blossom trees planted in the garden.
The farmer’s house was built away from the samurai house. This house is luxurious because It is owned by a Nanushi (village headman)in this region.
Variety of agricultural equipments are placed in the warehouse next to the mansion.
There were Shyokki (old Japanese dishes) on the cupboard.
The living room and the work room are boarded and the guest room’s floor is made from Tatami which is a type of mat in traditional Japanese style.
