Nanzen-Ji, Kyoto: Another point of view

Last August 11, 2018, Saturday, I travelled to Nanzen-Ji, Kyoto and I was impressed by the beautiful scenery. I took photos which were the slightly from different point of view. However, it was too hot to go sightseeing because temperature was 36 degrees Celsius.

Nanzen-Ji is some ZenBuddhist temples in Kyoto, Japan.
This picture below is Saimon gate. This huge gate was built from wood in the 13th. You can see few people near the gate. Vivid green leaves look like waves.

A few maple leaves turn red. The leaves have beautiful contrast between green and red.

In Kyoto, many young women are wearing Japanese traditional clothes called “Kimono”. However, almost all women are non-Japanese tourists. They enjoy travelling in Japan.

Nanzen-Ji has some temples and gardens. This temple is Nanzen-in. There is a wonderful garden. Some people are sitting on the veranda and enjoy watching the garden.

There are lots of lotus on the pond and reflected the trees on the water.

There is a painting on a sliding door called “Fusuma" in the temple. It seems to draw the ancient Chinese story.

There is “Suirokaku” in the Nanzen-Ji temple. The waterway was made to carry the water of Lake Biwa to Kyoto City. It is said that it was designed in reference to Waterway of the ancient Roman.
